The Embassy of Spain in the Philippines supports FOTOSEMANA MANILA 2015, a Micro Festival of Contemporary Photography organized by THOUSANDFOLD in partnership with IED-Madrid and EMAHO magazine which has been granted by Acción Cultural Española through its Programme for the Internationalisation of Spanish Culture (PICE).
The focus of this year is to introduce “Fotografía de Autor” and to celebrate “The Rise of the Photobook”. Taking into account that the recent tendency in the world stage of contemporary photography and photobooks has been undeniably led by the presence and acclaim of contemporary Spanish photographers/artists, the festival will highlight a Masterclass Workshop and Exhibition by acclaimed Spanish Artist/Photographer/Curator Nicolás Combarro. The exhibit will run from May 18 to June 6 at Pablo Galleries, 11th Ave., south of Market Bldg, Bonifacio Global City.
In addition, the micro-festival will have a line-up of activities including: Portfolio Reviews by local and international guest experts, curated Public Talks and Slideshow Projections, Photobook Presentations and Launches.
The event dates are from 18 to 24 May 2015 and will take place at THOUSANDFOLD in Taguig City, Warehouse 509 VFP Building 2 Veterands Road Veterans Center.
